Default Fairing screen marked

I've got a 5 day old k5 pointy and its sadly been outside for this duration (still organising a garage!). I've used a plastic raincover and noticed that it seems to have rubbed the plastic screen when windy and 'hazed' up small areas of it. Is there a cleaner/chemical I can use to clean this up?Nothing major but just a bit annoying.

I used to own a convertible car and I used a cream on the plastic rear screen that removed water deposits and clouding - just wondered if there was anything specifically for bike fairings (and helmet visors too??)???

Also, what is recommended for cleaning the bikes themselves.? I'm a bit of a sad perfectionist so providing lists of products for specific tasks will be gladly accepted.....Cheers

try a polish called Xerapol..its £6.94 a tube. Our accountant was in the other day helping with bike sales and tried some on his expensive watch and it removed all the marks of the cover!. Have also tried it on a screen on a 2nd hand bike and it cleaned it up a treat.

In future make sure your screen is clean when you put the cover on the bike, if your neat with a needle and thread then get some soft material and sew it onto the inside of the cover where it goes over the screen.

I use car wax on mine. Not the paste in a tin but a thin liquid bottled type. It worked for me but I only had a few minor marks and it adds a layer of protecton. Not sure how safe it is to use long term on the screen though.

Wait until you get the garage built, then put a new screen on the bike. It will be easier to ride on long journys and will look a lot better too.

As for cleaning, i use Autosol on the metal bits, WD40 on the oilybits (swinging arm, under tray etc...etc...) A foaming wax on the plastics (i will get name if anyone wants it) and Mr sheen on the screen, lights and mirrors
