Default SLOW Parts from Suzuki?

Hi folks,

Has anybody else experienced slow delivery of parts or rather accessories from Suzuki to their dealer?

I ordered my SK5 with lowers and they hadn't turned up when I collected the bike. They will now be fitted at the first service (Hopefully!) Now I ordered a Suzuki Double Bubble screen a week ago and it hasn't arrived yet.

A case of selling loads of bikes due to popularity perhaps?

Cheers,
Garry

try 6 weeks for a gear hanger. though my dealer wasnt an official suzuki stockist/dealer. now go to one in canterbury where they either have parts in stock or they can get it in within a week.

suzuki delivery is usually 3-4 working days if suzuki gb have it in stock themselves. 3-4 weeks is usual if the part is coming from japan, and 1-2 weeks is due to the accessories beind made. sv at the minute parts are becoming scarce due to the 0% finance on at the moment making them hugely popular!!

this is mostly TL1000 stuff, but it's from suzuki, thus pretty relevant

- rear exhaust gasket: 2 months
- membrane for carbs (rap650): 3,5 months
- airfilter: 1 month
- cylinder head gaskets (for valve checking): 1 month

it's unbelievable how slow suzuki has become over the last year or so...and these are all pretty standard items!

i really don't know how a dealer can work under these circumstances??? You bring the bike in for an oil change, and you have to wait 2 weeks???

it's stupid!

Its been pretty bad recently due to a few things, suzuki are moving to Milton Keynes and due to the 0% offers at the moment they have been inundated with accessory orders.

TBH the most i have seen is a 6week wait for DL650 centre stand kits. 99% of the parts i have been getting have come in within 3 days.

Its not just suzuki though, i hear Yamaha and Kawasaki are the same at the moment.

Also if parts are comming in from Europe, as alot do their factories close for August hence suzuki GB cant get the parts.
