Hey im new to the site and the whole motorcycle world. Ive ridden dirt bikes and am thinking of buying a 2002 sv 650. The guy wants 3 grand for it, is that a good deal? He said it was once totaled and rebuilt certified and everything. Its only got 1300 miles on it since the rebuild. Also its not naked, i like the look of the naked bikes better, is it an easy process of transforming them, or something that shouldnt be bothered with?

It's way too much, two grand would be about right for a non-totalled bike, and a Cat D write-off would be far less so, particularly at this time of year.
There are loads of bikes about so don't be hasty ![]() . |

Probably looking at around 1500 - 1800 quid for a once totalled 2002 bike.

3 grand could be $3,000 given the word "totalled", in which case it would be reasonable!
