Default Changing Both Sprockets

hello, ive just gone and ordered myself a Renthal Front Sprocket(minus 1 tooth ), as im looking to make the bike abit nippier - if i changed the Rear Sprocket ( extra tooth ) would there be anymore difference ???

As the the sprockets are - as is fairly common - at the ratio of approx 3:1, then reducing by one tooth at the front is roughly equal to adding three at the rear. Thus there is a finer element of change by changing, say, one or two at the rear.

Also the front sprocket isn't large at 15 teeth, making it smaller exacerbates the rate of wear, going up a few teeth at the rear is a better option.

I'll second that.(don't forget you loss a bit of top end.)

Default Changing Sprockets

Ok, so what about if i put the front sprocket on and then changed the rear to one with 3 teeth more ( if you can ) would that make more changes than leaving the standard rear on changing the front??
