Default Anyone interested in an undertail radiator set up for an SV?

Hi guys, I'm a mechanical engineer and work as a motorcycle design engineer over here in Australia. I own a 2000 model SV650 which is highly modified and puts out something between the 90 to 100 Hp mark (have a had a few problems with calibrating the dyno).

Anyway, I've developed an undertail radiator system which so far has worked better than the original set up, and am considering developing a kit for others who want to do the conversion.

Without revealing too much, I have access to a $4m wind tunnel (yes 4 million dollars) so I've been able to carry out some pretty good tests on this set up.

Moving the radiator under the tail now gives me plenty of room for my next project which is to mount my super-charger.....

So is anyone interested in a radiator kit???

I'll post pics as soon as I can

Certainly interested in seeing your work... however trying to market it back to the UK from Australia will probably make it prohibitively expensive.

Seriously, I would like to see piccies. Not interested in buying as I don't have an SV anymore but I would love to see the set up.

All the best with the project.

Ok, here are the pics...... As you can see I haven't revealed too much .... to protect my personal interests....

I actually work with three others (all mechanical engineers) on quite a few bike projects part time, and work for a motorcycle design company here in OZ. I'm not going to reveal the name but believe me it is a genuine company and we've done some pretty cool projects..... but this particular one is my own. I took the pics a few weeks ago and since then I have had the bike re-registered and pulled off that garbage rear indicator set up as well as adding a rear wheel cowl/hugger.... whatever you want to call it.

I've tested this at over 40 deg C, and it actually runs cooler than my stock GSXR.... It also keeps the heat off your legs etc on a hot summers day..... Mind you I have lived in the UK, and rode a bike over there during winter, and I wished that I had heat pouring off the bike.

Anyway, enjoy.... and let me know if you're genuinely interested....

P.S. I can also provide a report from a senior Aerodynamicist who has assisted me with this.... If you want more info on it.

Looks spanking mate.

Matt black paint looks the biz as do the USD forks. Makes access to the front spark plug a doddle as well.

Ha Ha, had to pull the pipes out of the shed (it used to be an S model) so that I could pass the sound test.... I usually has a hand made system on it..... Which is shiny......

Any color as long as it's matt black..... just like my CBR
