I need to front my frustrations as I'm going mad.

Long story short, I applied for a job and sat the interview on Friday. They told me they'd let me know by Monday. I am sat pulling out my hair but hopes are fast fading as time goes along. Can it take this long to contact me.

This will be the third interview I've sat this month where I've been told I'll find out either way on the Monday and then they chicken out and tell me I've not got it by letter on the Friday.

Should I be patient or stop being naive and move on????

Was it direct or agency? If the later, give them a call.

No it was from a paper advert.

Trouble is I really want the job as it would be more money, more prospects and I can share travelling expenses with my missus who works at the same firm.

Dan,

Maybe try this one day...your bank balance is looking rather sparse but the deal set to complete in 10 days or so before Christmas, you know will put things right big time! A cushion that would carry you threw nicely for a couple of months.

Then in the early hours of the day when the transaction was to complete and so trigger your nice payment, your client sends you an email to inform you of his change of heart!!!!!
