Great, so you are paying off debts, then getting a k5 gsxr with insurance and racking up more debt. Smart! Congrats on getting the money though, and if it's from any family/friend who has passed away then my condolences.

If you've got about £3k spare for a bike and insurance consider looking at something a little less new, 01-03 SS600s can be had for less than £3k, and if you sold the SV you could end up without incuring any debt at all for a fast bike, plus some accessories... That's what I did, £2950 for a 2001 ZX6R with 2,900 miles on the clock, deals are out there, don't get sucked into the "gotta have it cos it's the latest greatest" syndrome if money's a factor.

Why the heck is your insurance so high???

Try someone else if there is no obvious reason as I have never heard anything that high.
