Default Blueflame aftersales

Now i've heard some bad stuff about these lately so was VERY sceptical when the can split near the inlet pipe after a bit of a shunt bent it (It lasted for a couple of months after bump before splitting last week).

So bearing in mind that mine was one of the "original" Blueflame's and not an "Evo" can, and that i bought it second hand for £80 after it'd been used for 500 miles if that, I phoned Blueflame to enquire about it being fixed.

"Hello Blueflame performance, how can i help"
" I have a Stainless, oval, dual port exhaust but not the Evo version, It has split around the inlet pipe and the hanging strap has split at the bolt hole"
"Sounds like you've got the race version, send it back to us and it'll be repaired under the lifetime guarantee"
"how long is the return period as i don't have a spare?"
"we turn them roud in 48 hours of recieving them mate"
"nice one, and the address is ...blah blah blah"

So i send it off on tuesday paying £10.20 postage for standard delivery including pipe, hanger, return address details etc.

Phoned on monday to ask if it had been recieved as i forgot to but contact number in

"Oh yes mate, we got it friday and posted it out same day, It should get to you some time today"

Box arrived at 2:30pm by private courier from blueflame performance, so i left work early to fit my can back on and go for a quick run. Gets home, opens box......Mmmmmmmmm Shiny ......... Not my old exhaust but a brand new oval dual port S/S Evo can with removable baffles ( obviously they're already out ). Needless to say i'm very happy with blueflame and would use them again no problem.

As for everyone who's had a bad dealing with them.........i must be special

I'll put pics up when get home

Lucky you! Maybe they've realised that they have got themselves a bad reputation for customer service and are working hard to overcome it.

I have had problems with my can, but once I contacted them I cant say I had anything to complain about the way the handled the repair and return of my exhaust.

i was in the same situation sort of with my titanium evo3 dual port,

I had gone through i dont know how many rivets (mainly on the badge) and went through 2 badges aswell, UFO in huntingdon decided it needed to be sorted so they sent it back to them to be repaired and a few days later UFO recieve a brand new can for me. So i they're good on the lifetime warrenty bit.

Thing is, im not gonna put it back on because i know ill have the same problems again in a month or 2, so im selling it on ebay and gonna get something else

Crap! I just ordered a evo dual port in carbon, been wating three weeks. Now it doesnt sound like such a good can. Main attraction was dual ports and you dont see them much this side of the pond. Who knows I might get a good one?

My replacement can has been on my bike for 3 months now and I havent had any re-occurance of the poping rivets problem.

This one did seem more sturdy than the previous can, but the one thing I did this time was take alot of care over how the can was mounted on the bike. I regulary check now that the strap is done up tight and nothing has worked loose and it seems at the moment to be doing OK.

Great customer service, got my bike with blueflame fitted but minus the small baffle and retainer clip, sent the self address envelope and a note explaining the situation and 2 days later i received a replacement baffle (well plug) and retainer clip

Blue flame is crap! I waited 5.5 weeks sent an e mail asking for a delivery date and the US rep went loco on me . I think he might be off his meds. He got the pipe a few days later and emailed to say its in and I cant have it !
This is the condensed story so theres a bit more to it . Sufice to say they suck!

Leo Vince on the other hand was great! They sent me a beautifyll pipe the day after my order. Now thats service!

PS they were friendly, helpfull and gratefull for my buisness, what a concept.
