Dean there are many andf varied wireless routers and most will require some setting up of the wireless section.

a make of the router and the card in your laptop might spark some better responses

personally i don't have a belkin but i seem to remember setting up my cousins belkin via web screen setups

i take it you have acessed this and switched on the wireless netwrking section ?

and also have the correct drivers loaded into the laptop ?

is RA link the one that adds the little K in the toolbar that turns red and green when it gets a signal ?

windows xp has its own wireless networking and the ra link has its own drivers the two do not live hapilly together

you eitehr use windows for the wireless side or tell the ra software you wish to use it .

How embarrassing

After staying up til 1am trying to get this working i finally gave up and went to bed, the config utility on laptop was showing the radio link was switched off yet on another tab in the same utility it was shown as on??????

Rang the support phone number this morning and the guy says, oh yes the radio link is turned off by default on all our machines, if you press the button next to the on/off switch (the one with a wireless network symbol on) it will turn it on.

So now it's working can anyone (amarko?) tell me how to make this secure?

Dean

P.s. thanks for you help last night amarko
