Default Boggin Down ...

Went for a ride just the other day about 100 miles round trip. Im the way to my destination the bike started to bog down. It would reach about 80MPH and no matter how much i opened the throttle there was just no more power up or down the gears did nothing and it just stayed around 80MPH. Occasionnaly it would sort itself out and the power would come back on but more than likely would fall back to 80. On the way back however the bike was fine and felt great, powering out nicely loads of fun.

It was quite a warm day so dont think it was carb iceing, however it was ****ing it down so could have been flooding in the front cylinder. I've got a fender extender on the bike though so dont know and its only ever happened once before.

Any ideas anyone on what else could cause this?

Sounds very much like a damp front plug to me.

Yeah? I found it quite weird .. was like the throttle was completely open and there was just nothing ... I had to lossen the throttle a lot before I reached where the power was and where the engine breaking kicked in. Was quite surreal.

Will have a look at the front cylinder soon tho, gonna be overhauling the bike ready for the summer.

Thanks for the input doods.
