guys im pretty n00by at anything mechanical
![]() i been looking at getting a slip-on and wondered what is involved in slipping it on ![]() ie. what i need to cut or not and i seen somewhere that you can get BS stamped plated for a can. if i was to rivet this stamp onto a race can would anyone be able to tell its a race can (ie the police) also if i did have a race can what would happen to me if i got caught with it? |

There are plenty of how to threads in this forum that will give you a "how to" on the cutting and fitting. There are also plenty of reccomendations on cans you can get. I personally have bought a FUEL can (fitting it tommorow) and there are plenty of others who have bought Carbon Can Company cans. Both can be had of EBay for £110.
On your second point, I personnally wouldnt run a race can on the road. If you do get pulled then its more likely to be by a copper who nows his bikes. IF youre running a legal can without the baffle but you have it on you, They will probably just give you a ticking off and tell you to put it back in. If are obviously running a race can with a badge you have stuck on, there more likely to throw the book at you which I believe is a fine and points. |
