Soft cream cheese screws on the SV
Need a little help here please from an owner of a 2003 on sv650 s the crosshead screws that hold the throttle body and switchgear on the handlebars are all soft as poo. I know as I have just removed them ![]() Just measure the length of the shank NOT the head of the screw. There are 6 in total on the SV1000s, 2 on the left switch and 4 on the right handle bar switch and throttle enclosure. 1 at 20mm 2 at 25mm 3 at 45mm I will send out free replacements to the first to come up with the measurements. I am sure that the naked is different but if someone could have a look at this for me same deal. |

Hmm,
Throttle assembly are defo 2x 20mm shank only Left hand cluster looks like 1x 20mm & 1x 35mm (only a guess - I'm at work, can't access screws due to fairing) Right hand cluster are 2x 40mm (could be 35mm tho' - same prob as above!) What was that song? 'One out of three ain't bad' ?! ![]()

I do need an exact answer so I can order the correct amount of each size. I like to be able to put back the same length if possible. I will be ordering a new batch of bolts at the end of the week and will add these into the order. I am sure I can put a little kit together for about £2 max. I will be changing mine but if I can sort your bikes out at the same time bonus for you. |
