Default mninmotos

Has anyone got one of the cheap minimotos that are about at the minute?

My little lad wants one for his birthday but not sure how good they are?

Cant imagine you can carry much shopping on one !

The prices seem to vary a lot (from £80 new on ebay to £160) but they look the same, any advice?

Go for one of the ones with the bolt on swingarm, they are the best, here is a place that does them and has a good pic:-

http://www.boysstuff.co.uk/product.a...45&cid=36&scid

I have moved on to a Blata B1 Rep now (about 7hp liquid cooled as opposed to the ~2hp aircooled basic ones) , but started off on one of these.

Here’s one for sale 2nd hand on ebay:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Repsol-Race-Ty...QQcmdZViewItem

I use these as examples only, you should be able to get a new one DELIVERED for £160 or less if you shop about.

But that is what you are looking for, the ones with the bolt on rear swingarm!!

As for issues with the police, most forces are having a clampdown, with good reason too, they are becoming a nescience where kids are riding them on the street.

Where abouts are you from?? There are quite a few proper tracks that cater for minimotos now. It is pretty cheap and in a controlled environment. And plenty of other likeminded kids (and big kids like me ) ideal enviroment and responsable for ya nipper!!

To be honest, I was bollocked because I was riding on a car park within earshot of a pensioners home. A big car park on an industrial estate wont cause anyone any grief so you'll be alrite. If we go out from now on I found a nice oen near my work, far away from any housing.

Yeah, great fun.

There is a karting track near me that holds minimoto nights. I'd start off in a quiet carpark though to get used to it and gain respectable laptimes , unless you lioke getting humiliated by an 8yr old.
