My nice shiny CCC Carbon slip on has just arrived and I was wondering what's the baffle and the other bits?
![]() Looking down the tube in the direction the exhaust gases would go you have the long perforated pipe which I guess is to keep the woolpacking in place, whats this bit called? Then at the exit end you have two more pieces of tubing, one is about 3-4 inches long and sits fully inside the can the other is about 2 inches long and sits inside the main exit port to create a circle within a circle. Could someone tell me what these bits are called so I don't sound like an idiot (well less so anyway) and know which one to chuck in a draw never to see the light of day till MOT time. |

Found out how to remove it, you have to drill out the rivet on the exit pipe, my cordless drill isn't upto it though so I've left it in (for now)
![]() Lots of WD40 and hitting things with a hammer later I have my new can on, sounds good standard but I'll def take the baffles out when I get back from hols, Gotta scare those local scooter kids at the lights ![]() |
