Default The Cat & Fiddle place.....

For his Birthday I'm taking my son & his girlfriend to Alton towers tomorrow. Me & the Mrs will dump them off and then take a drive up to the Cat & Fiddle (in the cage ) to have a look at what all the fuss is about. We'll probably do the A6 ifrom Buston to Matlock too.

So, if you see me wandering about looking at the bikes (I'll be in a blue Vectra BTW) come over and say "Hi". I'll make sure I have a good look at any SV's in the car park.

Is it a decent place for lunch ?

.

food was ok nothing special.

saying that didnt think the road was all that special either. was worried about it as its the most challenging road in the area, i thought it was a lot of hype. loads of speed restrictions, towns, cars etc. much better roads up here

I agree about the Cat and Fiddle.................I didn't think it was particularly challenging or interesting.

Snake Pass is much, much better

Don't really like the road, I crashed there acting the ****, it isn't really well surfaced anyway. It's about 30 miles from me, so I may pop up mate, hopefully get my dad to goo as well.

Yeah, the road the cat&fiddle is on (don't know what it's called) isn't that great.... but! The A54! Just off the cat&fiddle road! Bit of a dodgy road surface in places, but I am completely addicted to it - loads of lovely twists and bends and hilly bits where your front end goes twitchy.... mmm.....

was going to say is there another route you could take? the A6 is cameras and small towns, not a pretty road to take.

Problem with the cat is it is so over policed you just can't have fun.

Now the roads we played on over Shap then Hartside both ways today and then down the Kirkstone pass to Windermere and then home was far more fun than the Cat could ever be.
