Default MT03

Since I was waiting at the dealers an hour whilst the DRZ was serviced yesterday, I took the opportunity to see what will replace the SV650S - love the bike but the most uncomfortable thing on the planet.
All IL4's dismissed for being IL4's.
Favourites were SV650 or SV1000 naked, SV650 especially since I would be able to transfer my can,R+G's,tailtidy etc and save a bundle there. 06 colours pretty dire though, just a naff red or blue.

Other bikes worthy of note were the ER6, lot of bike for little money, and the yellow and gold one looked cool.
Next though, and this looked really wacky, was the Yam MT03 - anyone else seen one yet? Its all kinda squished up and chunky. Think I will be deffo investing £20 on an hours test ride on that next week just for the fun of it

Guy at work took a test ride on one a few weeks back as he's moving up from his Kwak ER5. He liked the looks but said it just didn't do anything for him when he rode it - had enough power but nothing else to make it worth having. Went and bought a HD883 sportster instead.

Naaah, Had a bandit 1200, and that was too heavy, but the MT01 is a BEAST.

Having spent two hours today on a Triumph Thruxton, I beg to differ. The low clip-ons killed my wrists and the brick-hard seat murdered my bum. The SV is a comfy sofa by comparison.

MT03? That's just weird
