Default Power Sport Bradford BEWARE

Hi,

I have been biking for a while now. Just decided after a theft a few years ago to get back on a bike... Bought an SV650S k3 from Powersport. Used them because of their locality to myself and that I have had friends that used them without a problem.

Anyway I used the bike to commute to Leeds now for the second week.. As I got off tonight I noticed that the wear marks on the back tire were showing very clearly.. (Now dont get me wrong I use the bike for commuting a total of 13 miles there and 13 miles back each day and that is it. No ragging.... (yet))

So I was very concerned that to say that the thing had been serviced and tested and nobody had said anything... And so I ring and they say in essence. So Buyer BEWARE.... GREAT. Then to make it worse they had already displeased me by selling me the bike saying it had over a months tax on it and then when I take collection of it I find it has 4 days left on it. So I took that as a 'Well lets learn' (62quid out of pocket)

Now I am not a push over but I sort of don't expect a company like that to rip me off so badly.... The only response he had was sorry for it not having a month on the tax but there is nothing I can do... It is now yours.. and then today he said sorry but I will put you through to the service department to see how much another is going to be.... £120 fitted...... So in total not only did the bike cost me over £3200 but it has now cost me an extra £180 just in the first two weeks.

The £3200 is a pretty reasonable deal for the accessories it has on but I will never go back to powersport for anything.. Anyone else dealt with them like this?

ALSO... I still need to get a new tyre.. It is a Dunlop D220 Sportmax. I assume that is all the info you need.. I was told to replace it with the same brand or replace both tyres.... I want to get the best milage out of my tyres... As I dont thrash it, I dont really need super stickys or anything... Any ideas where to get them fitted and if I should change to another make of tyre or something???

Cheers

PS

I am just so angry... The brotherhood shouldn't be ripped off by other brothers.... Man I just feel like someone has been punching me.. I am a new husband (Married in December 2005) and just changed jobs and stuff... I am trying to keep my wife onside about biking as she is only 'okay' with it and wont come on with me at the moment... Just a bit sad that she is going to see it as an ever spiralling money pit.... Man I am gutted...

Yeah.. They said it was a risk I took in buying a used bike.. A Guy called Sean in sales was who said that.... Just seems like they knew... There is no way that there has been much tyre wear in two weeks.....

I wouldnt have been too annoyed if they had said it was close and I needed to keep an eye on it or something...

Anyway Live and Learn.

I was warned off them by my instructor although i have heard good things about the accessories and parts downstairs. I wouldn't buy a bike off them though, they seemed a bit pricey and not nearly nice enough upstairs

The Bike was loads cheaper than Bradford Motorcycle (Who in my opinioin always hard sell me even when I am only coming in to look)

Anyway I Still need to find a better tyre and figure if I need a pair or I can run my front with a different rear....

Then there is getting someone to fit it... Come on people please... Information :P
