Think yourself lucky

when you get the fancy ones that have heating elements built in to the mirror, motors to fold them back alongside the door when parking in small spaces & indicators . . . kiss goodbye to £500

£26 - bargain, I'll have 2

No, I make room for bikers if I see them.

Car was parked up next to the pavement, when I got back to it the mirror was smashed on the pavement side with small dent on the wing.

My guess is some other 2 wheeled menace (bicycles) on the pavement misjudged the width of his handlebars.

My mirrors have heaters, I managed to salvage most of the plastic casing off the ground.
Prob cost a lot if a biker took the whole thing off.
