Hello,
Hopefully someone more mechanical than me can give me some guidance. I've nearly installed the Scorpio SR-i500 on my 2006 sv650. Everything went alright, except the remove ignition disable (RID-5) module. I cannot for the life of me figure out what to splice it into. The instructions say ... " Option #1: Wire connection between the ignition module and engine stop button" Option #2: Ground wire from ignition module. Option #3: Wire connected between the ignition module and coil. Option #4: Wire that goes to the ignition fuse in fuse box. Suzuki: Orange wire White stripe"" - Where the hell is the ignition module or coil on this bike? I think they may be wrong on the orange w/ white stripe since I dont' see any that match this. Anyone else do an install of a scorpio with the RID? |

The ignition and FI module is next to the battery, the large black case with dozens of wires in multiplugs, the coils are inside the frame under the airbox, and the rear of the tank.
You'll need a wiring diagram, ordinarily there's one in the owners manual of a new bike. Orange and White is commonly Suzuki colours for the live wiring post ignition switch, and prior to ignition/sub circuits. Remove the tank, don't disturb the wiring between the black box and ignition and fuelling components, follow the wiring from the right hand switch gear, and identify the live supply post engine stop switch, splice your ignition cutout there.
