There's a rumour that BMW will be entering a 3 cyclinder bike this year for testing and that Jeremy McWilliams is the current test rider. Is this true? Any links to the subject?
I found this but it's in german... http://www.motorradonline.de/d/21304...=%2Fmrd%2Fnews ![]() |

This article is just saying that the rumors are coming up ever so often.
No decition has been made yet by the officials weather or not they will join the MotoGP. As for the Bike it's still too slow & too heavy. |

Probably depend if they can make the bike competative and give times as quick as the current MotoGP lot.
If they can't, you won't hear anymore, but if they can, im sure we'lll all hear about it. I think it would be good to get a few more manufactures in there. |

A few bike mags have covered this. BMW want into MotoGP for their brand image and they think they can win it (loads of money, more than just about anyone else in MotoGP right now). Plus they've been drifting into sportier bikes more and more. Only downside is that they're using a fair few car engineers on the project. Didn't work for the KR bike a while back. Some say BMW won't go into MotoGP until they've won F1 but others say they'll be in the 2007 one with an 800cc bike. Not long to go until we know for sure.
I'll bet it won't chuffing break down. And will it have ABS?! |

It won't do well, it will only stick to the middle and outside lines into the corners.
The rider will also all of a sudden loose the ability to realise when other riders are around and about to overtake ![]() ![]() |

I agree with Daimo that the more the merrier as far as constructers go. In fact It's nice to see more European manufacturers there. BMW should do well if commited adn have a good backing both in terms of technology and money. Hope they do pull it off. Lets hope they give us a nice bike to cheer to though not some strange looking creature

It would be nice to see a Sam Brown on the podium, and the flat cap and slippers would be OK.Smoking a pipe would not be allowed in today's PC environment,so they will have to arrange a relaunch and makeover for themselves there.
Do they velcro knee sliders on to their cylinder heads? ![]()

A competetive triple?
Aprillia and Proton have both tried, I don't see them having much success with that engine configuration unless they know something that everybody else doesn't... |
