Default fuel light....is it working

my fuel light comes on but doesn't seem to flash. if it does there are very long periods of being on, then relatively short periods of it being off. it certainly doesnt flash a couple of times in say a 10 second period.

the fuel light comes on at about 105 miles. which based on what you lot have said in the past, seems about right.

is something wrong? if so what do ya reckon?

Which model have you got - some flash, some don't.

My K3 SV1000 does not flash - it usually comes on for a long period, and then goes out for a bit (depending on if going uphill, if stationery etc)

My curvy SV650 however used to come on and flash (on for a second, off for a second IIRC) for about 20 miles and then on permanently.

K3's don't flash, nor do K4's, but K5's and K6's do.

The light comes on after approximately 12 litres, leaving you about 5 litres to play with.
