Default I have a friend...

A friend of mine went through a red light at a pelican crossing (purely by accident, lack of concentration) no one was crossing, but he is now worried that he is some how gonna get 'his collar felt'. From what he has described there was no big 'red light' camera as per the ones on some junctions but just a 'sensor' type thing on the top of the traffic lights pointing down towards the road.

I am tempted to wind him up, but am I right in thinking these are just traffic flow sensors and not cameras and he should just put it down to a lesson learnt and to concentrate more?

well, we have all done it,

some will admit to it, some wont,
im sure he will be fine, the things are sensors, so you are correct.

but tell him to wake up, and dont do it again.

They are motion sensors but you don't have to tell him that
