Its time for me to change me bike, which is a 99t sv650s. Am considering a zx600r j1 or a sv100s 03 53plate. Am wondering does the sv1000 take all the good bits of my 650 (fun, flickable and confidence) and add morepower!!!!!.
Would be intersested to hear from those who have had both. Manyt hanks for your ideas. Mathew |

I had a curvy for 4 years and changed it for a thou about 2 1/2 years ago
The sv1000 is not as 'flickable' as the 650 however it has got:- Much better brakes (ex GSXR750) Better suspension which combined with a bit more weight gives me loads more confidence in corners Loooooads more power ![]() ![]() Slipper clutch (as good as ![]() Get a testride on one if you can - I don't think you will regret it. I did around 900 miles on mine last weekend and loved every minute (apart from the puncture ![]()

I can only agree with that, I went from an 03 curvy to a new SV1000SZ. not as flickable, heavier but still as much fun.
Just done Rockingham on it today and just like the SV 650, it still makes people come over to see what you are riding. especially when they hear a pair of agrophobics with the baffles out :P Get a test ride. V2 996 Rocks |

Rode my mates SV thous the other day, not that much different between that and a K6 650S, which I have also ridden, handling wise that is. It goes like a ****ing train. Would take me a fair while to get bored of that.

You can't spell.
It's not B, L, U, E. It's B, L, A, C, K. Must try harder.
