What do you think of this? A safe way to get around quickly and cheaply - or a deathtrap disaster waiting to happen?! I think they are a good idea for our congested cities, like your own personal bus!

Had fun with those in Bangkok. Me and my mate used to get seperate ones and offer the driver an extra 1000 Baht if he got to the destination first.

Sorry to be anal about it, but those aren't tuk-tuks, they're Indian auto-rickshaws.
You offered B1,000 to a tuk-tuk driver. I'm not surprised they were keen, that was probably their monthly wage you were waving in their face!
