Would anyone like to help me chose between a Sony Ericsson K750i and a Nokia 6280?

what about the k800i instead of the k750? I've just got it and very impressed with it.

Hmmm, out of the 2, and i have owned one, and used the other i would go for the 750i, unless you are a nokia tart! I used to be, but found the dark side of Ericsson better. The 800i, is a much better phone than the 750i

I've had the750i for since October and also looking for something with a better MP3 player. The little mouse thing in the middle of mine is jamming up a little now and its hard to scroll down - but thats probably due to it getting a bit damp when riding in the rain. Its a good phone - my mrs doesnt like the buttons on it when dialing - but she has a nokia 6210 i think so thats why.

Thanks for all you help.
No it really is down to these 2 based on price offers available. A friend of a friend has upgraded the software on a 750 to an 800 so maybe that would be just as good as an 800 - or are you referring to the 512mb card? Gmonsta - thats sounds like a common problem regardless of your rain - is it still livable with? I was inclined towards the Nokia as it seems to be almost a year newer - Is this a common problem for it not to work? Thanks again |

Stu - yeah its a bit sticky. I've always liked the camera on it though as its pretty good resolution and autofocus works. |

If you bought your phone from Phones4U you could be in luck! Take it back to them & complain, I know a guy that's a Phones4U store manager. Apparently, their company policy is pretty much that if you are unhappy about your phone, they'll pretty much throw money at you to change your phone to a different one, regardless of if you stay on the same contract or change to a new one. They prefer to you change to a new one though. The logic behind this, is that the networks pay them for every NEW contract, and as such, internal sales targets are based on this. Basically, they'll pay you to help them make targets, but if you want to keep your contract, they'll still pay you, because if you just cancel & walk, the network wants it's money back from the shop. If it wasn't Phones4U, try it anyway, they'll probably operate in the same way. As for your question, I don't think it'd be fair me offering advice on the phones you're looking at, as I haven't seen anything about them ![]() |
