I've seen a few posts on here asking about kerosene and parafin for decreasing bikes and esp chains with o-rings. Suzuki say don't use anything other than Kerosene to decrease your chain, and i have seen a few people asking where u can get Kerosene and if its the same as parafin.

Well today i went to Homebase and bought a 4l bottle of what they call Parasene Super warm fuel. This stuff cost £4.99 for 4l and is has the UN no 1223 stamp on it. If you google "UN no 1223" you will find that it is pure Kerosene.

Parasene, as well as selling 'super warm fuel' also do a lovely range of garden products - which can be found here:

Can't you use white spirit to clean your chain?

Some B&Qs carry it too, in the garden section- look for the greenhouse heaters.
