My PC has suddenly decided to go AWOL.
When i switch it on, it last normally for about 15 minutes (if not a bit slower than normal) then all of a sudden the mouse on the screen wont click anything. It moves around the screen normal but will not function. So if i click CTRL ALT DEL to see what the problem is i can use the mouse fine, i can even move the box around that contains the Lock Computer and Task Manager buttons etc. Then when i click task manager to get back into windwoes the same problem ensues. Sometimes the problem does stop, but the computer from then on is very strange, they keyboard only seems to want to type foreign O's and I's (no other button works on the board) and every icon i click brings up its properties instead of opening it. Iv tried various virus/spyware tricks, even downloaded some of those dreaded PC mechanic programs but to no avail. Any ideas? |

Are you using Windows XP?
How long has this been going on for? What kind of mouse do you have? Can you think of anything that's changed just before, or at the same time as this problem started? Which anti-virus checks did you run? Which anti-spyware checks did you run? When last did you do a Windows Update |
