I've decided to get myself a new card for my birthday, so if anyone wants a Leadtek 7600GT 256mb pci-e card, it'll be looking for a new home... I've got a Zalman ZF700 cu cooler for it as well, which I've fitted to make sure it'd fit, but never actually run since I didn't have the right power connector. It's got the box, the drivers (including the rotten Winfox toolkit, but you don't want that- I think I have the nVidia driver set including the OC tools on a CD,but if not they're downloadable) and I think Sam and Max and Trackmania Nations.
Not the most powerful card in the world, but it'd be a good step up from a 6600GT or 6800GT... It overclocked nicely too and had clock speeds higher than the XFX XXX which is the fastest factory-clocked card out there without running hot or artifacting. It'd be cooler still with the Zalman fitted, or you could happily run it stock. They're low heat and low drain too, so if you've got a limiting system like a Dell case/psu it'll work just fine (I've got it in a Dell with a 305W PSU) They're £100 new from Overclockers, though no guarantee that a new one would clock this well ![]() Overclockers say this: Leadtek GeForce 7600 GT 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-080-LT) Experience extreme HD gaming and video on your PC with a Leadtek GeForce® 7600 GT graphics card. Featuring the award-winning GeForce® 7 Series architecture, this graphics card delivers smooth, realistic gaming at ultra-high resolutions. Additionally, the GeForce® 7600 GPU by NVIDIA® brings high-definition, home-theater quality video to the PC through the acclaimed NVIDIA® PureVideo™ technology. Factory overclocked core and memory clocks gives an extra boost in performance at no extra cost. - GeForce 7600 GT Core running at 560MHz - 256MB GDDR3 Extreme Memory running at 1400MHz - 12 Pixel Pipelines - Designed For Extreme HD Gaming – Delivering Ultra Realistic Gaming Experiences - Dual link DVI support - SLI ready – Delivering upto 2x the performance - Shader Model 3.0 Support - True High Dynamic Range Rendering Support – Based on Open EXR technology £100 new now

If it'll run Quake 4 OK, then I'd be interested - my current card can't cope

I don't have quake 4, but from the looks of it, it'll eat it alive. Quotes from Sharky's, http://www.sharkyextreme.com/hardwar...211_3615856__6
"Quake 4 is one of our most demanding benchmarks, and the Albatron 7600GT 256MB seems to be an exceptional card for this game. It manages to outperform both the GeForce 6800 Ultra and Radeon X1800 XL at standard detail settings, while the GeForce 7800 GT is obviously in a class of its own. " That benchmarking's for a slow-clocked GT as well. I have absolutely no idea what's being measured here... Frame rate? Seems pretty high that. ![]()

They're not toying about with the test system, though: Processors: Athlon 64 FX-62 (2.8 GHz dual core) Memory: 2 x 512-MB Corsair CM2X512-8500 Motherboard: Asus M2N32-SLI Not exactly the best of the best today, but it ain't no slouch either. |

I'll take it!
I need a temporary card since my 1900XTX is up the spout and only works in VGA mode. I get nice lines on my screen during boot up too! |

sounds good to me - I'll have to check when I get home as to whether my motherboard has PCI-E, as I know the card in there is AGP . . .
