Thumbs down NTL ondemand

when watching ondemand on ntl it goes black every minute or so - it just cuts out briefly, then returns a few seconds later. Anyone else have this problem? its really really ****ty! and seems to be getting worse. Programs are barely watchable.

Could be the telly, my daughter had a similar thing (telly kept going blank) it turned out to be a mode the TV was set to. Altered the picture mode and its been fine since.
The picture mode was supposed to darken the picture if viewed in a bright room i.e with sun light on the TV. She has a new LCD TV, hope this helps.....

We are having the same problem with NTL/Virgin Media on all channels, not just on demand - TV screen goes blank for a few seconds, as if TV has been switched off, and then comes back again.

The set top box always looks ok, and if the 'press red for digital' logo is in the top right of the screen that usually stays as well - it is just the actual picture that goes.

Time to phone them I think.

apparently its overheating - its not even in a warm place, with anything covering it. I'm skeptical to say the least!

Sounds like a load of bollards - my box is in the coolest room of the house.

What did they recommend to sort it out - or are they just going to send a new one?

I need to phone them about mine, its a old rubbish pace box. Though the samsung box does it sometimes to. They can try the over heating excuse, but it was still doing it even though I had turned the box of every day.
