Default Can you bungy two tyres on the back of the SV?

Anyone done it? Was it easy? I want to change my boots but keep the old ones.

Cheers!

I have bungeed 2 on the back of my GSX750 - it had a sports rack on.

It was OK, good tip is to tape the 2 tyres together before you put them on the bike - makes the whole package more stable.

Also, if you find the seat/tail/rack "fall" through the hole in the tyres then you could tape a plank of wood to the tyres to stop this happening.

I also got 3 tyes on my pushbike - yes I am a nutter!

I saw some young lad on a 125 going through Stratford the other day with his new tyres around his waist Of course the width of 125 tyres was a lot smaller but even still its pretty stupid.

That was no help at all was it? Sorry.

I did the same. Wrapped them in a T-shirt to protect the tank and put them round my waist. Not the most comfortable riding position, but I only had aboy 2-3 miles to go - and most of it was in traffic. Even stopped at some lights by a police car, who had a laugh, but didn't say anything! My defence was going to be 'It's just the same as being obese!'

Don't have any pics with tyres, but it's easier... Wheel and tyre seperately is a hassle though. Tyres are light, they don't get scratched, and they're easy to bungee. But a rack would make a huge difference, or a cardboard panel attached under the bottom tyre (so that the tail section doesn't end up sticking through the middle)

If you have 300miles to go then perhaps not, but I rode 60 miles comfortable/safely in this manner.

Safe until you have an off - there is no way I would want to come off a bike with 2 sodding tyres around my waist.

Strap it to the back - properly so you dont need to look around and worry about it - that really is the safest way!

Why not? Surely, you'll bounce better with a couple of tyres round your waist

Cheers
