Good evening all,
In light of my new venture (selling the car, going to SV) i'll be needing a good waterproof cover. As I live in a terraced house, middle one, I don't have a driveway or garage. I doubt i'll get the SV down the alleyway because there isn't enough room for me to turn it. So it'll sit outside the front window! Not on the street. Along with an alarm and a good Oxford anchor I'll need a good cover to put on it at nights. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance! Colin ![]() |

Linco, I had an Oxford Stormex which I used briefly for touring, they go for about 50 quid on ebay, the inner cover is soft fabric and wont be damaged by warm exhausts etc
Is waterproof and breathable too Only reason I sold it was because the bike is garaged, is also a wee bit bulky for touring with but would be perfect if keeping the bike outdoors. cheers |

Mine is Motrax and is terrible. Cost £20, but melted all over the exhaust, ripped in wind along the seams by the mirrors, and cats are inexplicably attracted to it and **** all over it at night.

I can also recommend the Stormex cover, got one and when I've actually used it, its pretty good. You don't have to wait for the exhausts etc to cool down, just chuck it over and you can clip it together underneath so it doesn't blow away either.

I've got a Turtle cover (advertises in the back of ride mag).
Pricey at £80 but is tailored to each model, he can even do special covers for panniers, etc., so fit is perfect and has a hole at the front to put the chain through, locking the cover to the bike. |
