Default Winter tyre

Bearing in mind the recent variable weather, and winter is coming, who like what??

I shall be running completely inappropriate tyres myself coz I got lots of them to use up

Z6 or Pirelli Strada seem to fit the bill.Good grip generally, deep tread pattern and seem to work in the wet and cold.Last well too.

Conti Road attaks have a good 8mm of tread. Excellent alrounder. I got 8k out of mine before the squared-ness made handling a bit dicey.

Same as what I use in the summer ie black and round .

That would be Pirelli Diablo Strada then. I'm considering switching to Z6 as they look like one could get better milage out of them whilst still remaining legal(thread depth wise).

Cheers
Ben

Same here... Everything that makes the Roadtecs great in summer makes them better in winter IMO

BT020's at the moment. Not going to change them just for winter. The tyres will do their job just fine (it's the rider we're not sure about ).

For my ZX6R I run Diablo stradas, give good grip in cold, wet, cruddy conditions, and the last set lasted 11,500 miles. At 10,500 miles I was scraping the pegs on the Llyden track day so they grip plenty well too. Replaced with same

Z6 rear, 220 front.

The 220 has been on the front since the bike rolled away from the stealership, so that'll be getting changed shortly.
