when I got my brand new Vauxhall in August the installed sat nav was so far out of date that I had to continue using my PDA & TomTom.
I then aquired a copy of the 2006 disc and that too, was obviously quite out of date and I fed back to Navteq some local errors. Well today I got a reply. see Navteq feedback Damm they then tell me to visit my dealer for the latest updates. You would have thought that after getting error accepted you would get the update as a thank you.

Aah yes - the Navteq sat nav in Vauxhalls!
I had a new Vectra as a hire car last weekend and I have to say the sat nav was about as useful as a chocolate fireguard! The first place we had to go was a small village (granted - it is very small) near Battle, called Netherfield. It didn't have Netherfield in it! It also only had about 4 roads available for Battle! It had also never heard of Rye!!! Christ, I thought everyone has heard of Rye and it's not like it's a new town that's yet to be entered - ffs, it even has a Castle!! ![]() ![]() I had to make myself late to a client's house by going back to get my GPS receiver for my iPaq and revert to TomTom... That found it no problem and evn told us where the blind junction onto their driveway was in good time! ![]() Needless to say - not at all impressed (and I wasn't impressed with the car either - especially as it wasn't what I'd ordered! ![]() |
