Default Bike running rough at low speeds

Right, Helga is giving me gyp. She's just not running right, It all started last Friday when I got caught in a heavy down pore and bike was missing, popping and not running right. I naturally put it down to water in the front cylinder and pulled it all apart on Sat. Put the mudguard on with the fender extender, checked the plugs and swapped the front to the back even though they sparked fine. Seemed to go away by gradually got worse, so I picked up some new plugs and put the back one in Tuesday. But the problem seemed to go again, but have now slowly got worse again.
Oh Sat I did also try to lobe my throttle cables as they have been sticking a bit and at the same time I fitted a FIAMM horn, including wired in relay.

The symptions appear to be that the bike is a tad snatchy at low rev, or when I try to suddenly open the throttle at any speed. Some times there is a distinct delay before the power kicks in when I open the throttle. Low speed is the worse with the idle speed all over the place until it gets warm, but it has stopped stalling once the plugs where swapped. The only time I don't notice it is when I'm giving he stick and then everything seems fine, though I will say she seems just a little less eager then normal.

Have you checked the throttle body synchronization?

I had the carbs stripped, cleaned and balanced about 3 months ago, which remind me one of the balance valves was letting air in. So I'll need to give that a once over, just need to remember which one it was and where... Dig out that manual time...

Grinch me old china. Doing the miles that you do, the carbs really need syncing every month...they really do fall out that easy. Failing that, all the ususal stuff to check...
Plugs
Leads
water in the fuel
Carb balance
Choke cables sticking
Vaccum leak
Plug on ECU (Clean & Dry)

I have a sync tool I could lend you, but I highly doubt sync is your problem here ... as you have dried everything out I'd place my bets on a Vacuum leak. Oh and you have made sure the drain holes on the motor are clear right?
