Default Top Gear

Did anyone else watch the first in the series tonight? It's good to have Hammond back.

I didn't realise that his accident was caused by a tyre blow out! unless i am behind the times on this.

Glad the series is back though!!

Devastating crash, 314 mph must be freakin fast, the most I've been is 140 on the bike and there's a lot of information to take in! Most speed guys work up to that over time, training their brains to deal with it. Must have been hard jumping in and lighting up the beast.

He was doing a great job though, as you say it was the blow out that caused the mishap

Did you notice in every run he was steering left due to the crosswind, reckon the tyre got pretty overloaded on each run on the right hand siide and then gave out. Great he's fine now, and know there has been a falling out between the car's owners/running team and the bbc, but like anything you'll never know the full story.

Great to have them back though, sunday is an evening to look forward to again!

As for the adrenalin that was running through him in the earlier runs, probably something we can all relate too....

Don't you think he has aged about 10 years since the crash

I thought that, but when you see him getting ready for the runs on the day of the crash he looked like that. With the bags under his eyes, etc.

Wouldn't you

I Think I'd have curled my toes up TBH

I didn't record Top Gear on my Sky+ because it clashed with Celeb Big Brother and something else
