Default touring clothing question

So currently planning a trip to Europe for the summer. However I'd like a little advice on clothing. Should I go with my one-piece leathers for the trip or stick with the textile 2-piece gear?

I'd go with the textile 2 piece, part of the fun is being able to stop and visit places and 1 piece leathers tend to be comfortable on the bike but not so much off it. On the other hand 2 piece leathers and light weight water-proof over suit is an effective combo.

Whatever you choose to wear enjoy yourself

Summer can be real hot in Central/Southern Europe so stick to layers. Best wear the textiles and take a rain oversuit in case it gets chilly. The wet oversuit is great to keep the chills out not only rain. That way you can adjust to the weather and still be riding safely.

I always run on two piece leathers (I want leather for the protection) with waterproofs and a spare pair of gloves on the bike. Wearing layers under the leathers especially a lightweight windproof fleece is good if it turns cold. A 2nd pair of gloves is also a must.

So, that hasn't really helped has it, as you have one piece leathers So, if you're happy with the protection of your textiles, remove the liners and layer...

I went for the two piece leathers, option of a thin fleece, two pairs of gloves (one summer, one waterproofish) and a waterproof over suit, did me fine for a weeks trip this summer and a long weekend in the Vosges (and a combo I've used with snow on the ground etc during winter..).

However on my rides I don't do that much stopping to visit places etc, but have found the odd museum trip in leathers to be fine.

If your textile two piece is any good I'd take it. Plus two sets of gloves. For my Eurotour I wore Dainese Goretex jacket and trousers (with the thermal liners removed), North Face Windstopper fleece, Alpinestars Goretex boots and summer and winter gloves.

The waterproof clothing really came in handy on the days I had to ride in heavy rain / snow to get to the ferry / next place I was staying. Two pairs of gloves are great when the first pair have soaked through.

A vest top and some shorts. I would say flip flops, but id recommend those walking type sandles

Textiles option for me out of those two.
