Disconnect the band from around the exhaust and gently waggle it to break the seal. Once it starts to move, try some WD40 or 3-in-1 oil around the joint to try to ease it off.

Apply wd40 to the joint several times over a long period.

Gas lamp, heat the female part and then remove.

Hehe, true, it is the law that once you take the exhaust off you HAVE to start the bike

i had this when taking the blue flame off to sell...i had used my scorpians link pipe so when i couldnt shift it...and belief=ve me it was not going anywhere without specialist equipment...i had to dremel it so that it could flex...cut a line about an inch long in the sleeve where it joins....may still be useable with some sealant as well...but the standard is on now...

good luck...but if all else fails there is that option.

I got it off mate, see here http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=50759

it was the paddock stand putting upward pressure on it, so I couldnt get enough wiggle movement to loosen it. all sorted now though
