bmc road filter
i have just fitted my bmc road filter and fitted 144 djs. when riding it is fine with a nice induction noise and a bit more power in higher revs, but it doesnt tick over too well. i think its trying to stall, i have played around with the odle adjuster but it was no good. could i be running rich or lean? thanks

most likely lean. If the exhaust 'pops' at all then it is running lean. If there's a strong smell of petrol in the exhaust fumes then rich. Consider taking your plugs out- they give a good indication. (as long as you have a few miles done with the new filter)

i found the problem - the vacuum pipe from the fuel tap to the carb had popped off. it is running sweet now, a slight smell of petrol but this is probably due to ragging it!!!!
