Forgive me if this subject has been covered previously - I did take Sid's advice and look on the search link but couldn't suss anything out.
Does anyone know if the wiring for the front light unit on an import machine (Y reg 650) is the same as the uk spec bike? Essentially what I need to know is, if I buy a uk spec front light unit, will it be easily interchangable with my existing light unit? Thanks. |

No the wiring isn't the same, however you can get a UK front loom that plugs straight in or as I did just cut the plugs off the one you have and wire on 2 H4 bulb connectors.
Cheers Mark.

Just fitted the new bit of the loom myself as I've brought the bike over, the part costs about 10-15 quid from breakers (headlight wiring loom). It is then just clip in and play (and faff about with the fairings!).
