My 2000 mile K6 has been carted off by the AA after the front cylinder died. Now I've been a member of the org long enough to know that this is a common problem but I am seriously unhappy!
Before I bought it, if the dealer had said "Oh and you'll need an aftermarket fenda extenda if you want to ride in the wet" I would've needed rib surgery. Do Suzuki sell these in Japan? Do they know it rains in Britain? I have emailed Suzuki GB today pointing out that this machine is not fit for the purpose for which it is intended and asking for their position. Yeah, wish me luck with that. Meantime I'm going to stalk the org for threads where innocent people ask "thinking about an SV, any good?" so I can tell them no. ![]() |

Unlucky mate. I only ever had a front cylinder problem once in 2 years, and then only for about ten seconds while the engine warmed. I'd definitely get on to Suzuki and pester them until you get a satisfactory outcome, even if it's just a free fender extender.

Suzuki have known this for a long time and done nutin.
You may get a free fenda as a goodwill thingy. Not all bikes do this, mine hasn't...althoug i ain't a winter rider. Good luck and stick it to the man! |

I understand why you're annoyed, but it takes 10 minutes and about £3 to prevent, plus an extra 30 seconds per plug change... If it was me, I'd be more annoyed at myself for not taking the measures to prevent it.

the k6 had an extra rubber flap to prevent this. I'm surprised it happened to you.
