Thumbs down Riding on hail stones !

Just got back in from work , it was one of the most frightening journeys I have had ! There was about an inch of hailstones on the car park , then the roads were covered , it kept hammering down , I gave up at about 300 yards from home & pushed it home as had to navigate 2 really bad corners , to be honest it was difficult keeping the bike upright just pushing it !

Last Novemeber wrote my bike off riding in snow & the flash backs I was getting was not nice , I physically felt sick when I got home .

Hope anyone else caught in the hail got back home ok

Cheers Steve

That sucks, I know. We had four hailstorms yesterday. I didn't go out on the bike. Then this morning it really snowed hard for about an hour. Decided to take the car. Steep hills and narrow lanes in 2nd and 3rd, taking it really easy. Turbo kicks in, wheelspin, traction control lights were coming on all the time. Glad I wasn't on the bike.

Yesterday! I took the bike out for a spin in the sunshine, and by the time I got half way around, I was riding in a blizzard

2nd gear, 2k rpm, loosing grip constantly, bike snaking all over the place, not fun! 2hours to do a 15min journey.

I had planned to go up over the edge of Mt Snowdon on the bike that day, but sack that idea given the weather!

Just got back from doing the M62 between Manchester and Huddersfield in a blizzard. Cross winds and everything... 5 seconds from wiping my visor clean it'd be covered in snow again!

It was not fun...

and in the words of the KLF... 'It's grim up north!'

k.
