Looks interesting though eh? £100 up front...then cheap petrol. If you do enough miles a year it would most certainly be worth it. I wonder if anyone else will start this?

It's basically a guy who runs a petrol startion who has founded a "club". You pay £100 up front to join the club, then you get petrol at 35p a litre. Instead of paying duty on the fuel, he pays VAT, or something. Someone might be able to explain it better than me... But it all seems to be legal - taking advantage of a loophole in the system.

The nearest on is just outside stirling (menstrie) You are allowed 40 litres of free fuel a month and then you pay just 35p a litre on the rest.
Our guys have looked into it for communting etc - a free tank a month hence the £100 annual membership and 35p for the rest but as he's not paying VAT you can't use him for claiming mileage!!(oe we can't)
Becuase he's a club and not selling for profit is where the loophole is You only pay the VAT on profit!! Thinks its crafty but good

Give me a bit of that defo.... that's worth £100 a year membership.. think about what you spend on fuel a month right now.... then multiply that by 12. That's a good deal but means you've to travel like hell to get the stuff

But it's high time somebody started doing it......

Sorta puts it in black and white exactly how much the taxman actually makes from motorists.
