Default Trackday insurance, 3rd party needed?

So I'm booked on Ride's InControl day at Snetterton, not quite a track day but close. Looking forward to it. (Afternoon of June 26th if anyone else has money to burn).

Snetterton don't require insurance, and my policy doesn't cover tracks. I don't want insurance for my bike, nor my health, as I have medical/accident cover from work for that.

But I'm worried about what happens if say I get a corner wrong and take someone else out (Not likely, but...). Whats the story on track, can people claim against you if you are involved in an incident, or is it a free for all?

you can get cover for your kit, but not for your bike....you are v v v unlikely to take anyone else out - ive done 7 or 8 and ive never seen it - =you generally get people crashing each session, but thats running off on their own...

back to subject - you cant get cover on track, unless its for silly money,

just ride within your limits and youll be fine

unless you are riding like a prize tw4t, then you'll be fine. since it's not a public road, then riders accept the associated risk, an accident is just that, an accident

You might get someone smack you in the chops if they are a complete jobs-worth (or if you were ), but there is no legal obligation to sort them/their bike.

So yes, it's an 'at your own risk' job

For example, I got 'taken out' at the weekend, it didn't even cross my mind to give him a mouthful or ask him to pay for damage ... its just not done ... coming home with a pile of scrap because of someone else is just a risk you all take/accept by being there!!
