I think almost everyone outside hasn't really the slightest interest in Nascar.
It's basically not very good. That would be one of the bigger issues that it would have to overcome to break through for the rest of the world. |

It's all a bit dull without some decent corners!
Although some of the crashes are good. And Greg Biffle is a really silly name!! ![]() |

IMO its cr*p, and boring to watch. With out the odd crash they have it would be a cure for insomnia.
It cant really take that much skill to drive round in a big circle all day, infact the crashes are probably because the driver got sooo bored and fell asleep at the wheel! LOL |

Well I voted love it but I don't really, there just wasn't an 'it's OK I suppose' option. It's very far from the dumbest though, hard to see past lawnmower racing for that one, especially the category where you have to push the bloody things!
My 2 year old loves 'Cars' though, even now we've hidden the DVD we still read the book about 3 times a week... And Robert Duvall is brilliant in Days of Nonsense, sorry, Thunder: "Tim, take a look at that hound. Now that's the best coon dog I ever seen or heard about, and I didn't teach him a damn thing." I paraphrase that all the time. This, for example, is the best forum I ever seen or heard about ![]() |

Guys, seriously. Turn right sometimes yea?
Mind you, I do like the super-sized crashes that unfold from a seemingly ickle tap. Thats exponentials for ya. na, its not a great motorsport. Even F1 is more fun (especialt since theres a brit leading). I'll stick to my World Supers for some top track action Matt |

I don't follow it closely, and don't watch it regularly, but I like it. There's no motorsport that I particularly dislike, though.
Oval racing is an acquired taste, I think, more of a day out or social occasion than something to watch intently on TV. Better in highlight form if you're only interested in the race, but it's certainly not without it's good points, be it the high-speed flat out super-speedways where it's all about drafting and spacial awareness, or the short courses with no restrictor plates and free-breathing V8 monsters. The races I make a point of watching are the road-courses, though, the cars look clumsy in a way, like fish out of water, but that makes it fairly unique, and because they're big (relatively) soft things you can see them working them hard all the time. Watkins Glen was great last year, think it was the NEXTEL cup race. They should do more road-courses. I wish it was just one series, and I wish IRL and Champ Car reunited too. |
