Default My first Commute on the bike

I did my first commute this morning.....awsome.

The usual journey takes between 1hr to 1hr 30 minutes......today it took me 27 minutes exactly.

Its amazes me how many BMW and Merc drivers actually move into your path to prevent you from filtering

In summary i will commute everyday if i can on the bike, today it was even drizziling abit but thought sod it.

I hear BMW/Merc wing mirrors are unusually easy to remove though.

Glad you enjoyed the commute, although it sounds like you are an urban commuter. No harm in it, just completely different to the commuting that I do.

See? Bikes are saving the planet

I'm trying to tempt my freind onto bikes, as he can sometimes take over 2 hours to come from north london to kingston - a journey that takes me less than an hour even when traffic is heavy

I love my daily commute since being on the bike - even the worst of weathers doesn't stop me. It save time, emissions and leaves me grinning like a cheshire cat everytime.

That said I came in my BMW this morning, didn't pull into the path of anyone on a bike though.

My commute is 1/4 rural along the A60, then half city ring road and 1/4 inner city.

Pants really but much more enjoyable in the morning than not going over 15mph for over an hour.

I feel that an hour on nearly empty NSL roads through Snowdonia beats your commute.

The worst part about it is dropping into Denbigh from the A543.

PS. Side note, bikes do have to pay for parking in Denbigh, both me & the guy with the red Bandit got a ticket the other day for parking in our usual spot.
