I've got some fairly deep scratches in both mirror covers and along parts of the lower fairing on my '99 SV650s. It's saturn black metallic.
I wanted to try and do these repairs myself, so I was going to sand the areas down, use some sort of filler (suggestions appreciated!!) and then re-spray the whole panels with primer, professionally mixed paint and laquer. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for these steps? I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on the forum, but please feel free to let me know if I've missed something! |

The scratches are about 1mm-2mm deep by the way....

Plastic bumper filler from halfords should do it, or build up the scratches with high build primer - I'm not an expert just how I would do it, I've got good results in the past and am doing something similar as we speak
