They had given you the notice within the 14 days, they now have 6 months to bring about a prosecution. There should be a separate letter either in that envelope or sent separately that requests for you to identify the driver/rider. Normally if i send them then i cross out the offences that don't apply and on our NIP'S i briefly explain the offence. If this has been computer generated then it may not have all the information on it. Its not the best written letter IMHO.

I thought NIPs HAD to say where/when/what you were (potentially) being prosecuted for?
