I've just put my SV650S K4 through its first MOT and it failed. The tester said the wheels were not in line by about 3/4 of an inch (20mm). I have had the bike from new, its done 13000 miles and never been dropped. The handling seems fine and tyre wear is good and even. The tyres are Pirelli Diablos. I have checked that the rear wheel is adjusted correctly and the chain run looks nigh on straight to me. Anyone any ideas?

This was when they put the planks either side?
Uneven forks can push the wheel out a tad, so can accident damage, so can missing or wrong spacers. My DR350 had this every MOT, but they never failed it, saying it was not a reason for failure, so long as everything was true - which it was. |
