i need to be faster

hi guys my friend has just got a zx6r, hes got to pass his test yet (haha) i want to faster than him off the line, if any one knows how to make it quicker of the line please post it here

get fast reactions, most modern bikes depend on whos fastest off the clutch.

TBH I expect you'll be faster from a standing start away, the SV is much easier to launch than a SS600 is. Theres only so much power you can use to get away quickly, if you've got alot it just makes it harder as you spend more time trying to keep the front wheel down rather than driving the bike forward.

Compared to my GSXR, my SV is much easier to get away quickly on.

No it wont... TBH you're never going to get an SV motor to run reliably at SS600 levels of BHP, if you want a faster bike go and buy one IMHO. One thing you could do to give you a bit more get up and go from a standing start is to drop the gearing on your SV, if you have a search you'll find plenty of threads on how to do it and what bits you'll need, TBH thats probably the best and cheapest mod, rather than chasing horsepower gains...

a smaller front sprocket, R6 throttle,race can & chopping the wheelie wires will all help.

but if you really need to be faster get a faster bike

might sound like a stupid question but wtf is tbh

its not that i want to be faster just d.i.c.k him off the lights hes one of those guys who gets everything better than your if you know what i mean
