Hey everyone,
Well the time has come for me to try something new, and I have narrowed it down between these two bikes. I have about 7 grand to spend, and I have no idea what do go for. I have ridden the CBR600rr and 'my oh my' what a machine, was just about to put a deposit down on it until my friend showed me the picture of the Daytona. Was just wondering what others would choose....and if anyone has had any experience with either of the two bikes? I have always had a soft spot for the cbr, and I can imagine that the build quality would be superior to the triumph, but then again the triumph is a very unique machine, and british ![]() Cheers |

07 Cbr is actually pretty comfortable for a SS! I prefer the daytona though

I'm really keen on the '07 600RR. Gets a good rating from all the mags, has decent mid range and as said above, is comfortable for a smaller 600 supersport.
I think the Triumph is probably the best looking bike in the class, but I don't think I could ride it for too long at a time. . |

If you can, test drive them both. The 675 allegedly has better midrange punch so should be better to ride without the need to push the engine. The CBR however is probably the more comfortable to ride in the real world and has the legendary build quality that the others currently do not meet.

As much as I don't like CBR's, the Honda would probably be the better choice for long distances, I've ridden two different models and both were pretty comfortable. The 675 always gets labelled as being very focussed, and so it would be best to sit on one and see how comfy it feels from your perspective. Personally though it'd be 675 all the way!

On looks alone I'd have the Daytona.

Bike did a 600's test last month or two months ago. Honda was easy to ride, came out on top. One of the testers remarked that 675 is not just another Japanese 600 and he'd be forever wishing he had one instead if he bought a RR. 675 had a better performance engine, although the mag blew up their long termer 675 last year.
Personal choice really. I myself wouldn't pick the Triumph for a few reasone the main one being it seemed a bit tall for a shortie like me when I sat on it at the NEC. Ain't sat on a RR yet. |
